where have i been?

...
I've been stuck behind a computer dealing with a lot of not fun work stuff.

What do I intend to do about this?

I plan on boarding a plane in two days and flying down to Puerto Rico.

When will start posting like a good little planner should?

Two weeks.

Have a wonderful 4th of July everyone! Stay safe and sane!

Chaos...

That's how everything feels this week. Yesterday was the last day of boot camp and I have to admit I was a bit sad. I can't wait till it starts up again next week. On top of that, work has been, well, psychotic and was thrown way too many curve balls. I think one even hit my arm while I was trying to dodge it. It isn't going to stop either, more responsibility, less chance of me shaking things up, and no raise. Not always good but I made a pack with myself to push myself and show them I deserve it!!! We'll see!

On the friends and family front, from Thursday through the weekend it will be C R A Z Y! First is my niece's 8th grade graduation (OMG...), next are both my Dad and Brother's bdays (brother is OLD OLD) and the icing on my cupcake, my best friend's shower is on Saturday and boy will be fun! I can't wait to show photos of everything we planned!

On the personal front, I'm feeling a lot better about myself, physically. On top of the boot camps, I'm running more again (did 17 miles last week). I've lost inches and today, some of the clothes that I thought would be a little tight are super baggy on me! I like where I'm going and I'm patient for my results!

Four things about the Hubby...

Ok, I was tagged by Linda to do this meme about mr. planner, aka the hubby (I love that, mr. planner!)

1. He is the best rock/paper/scissors player I EVER met. The only time I seem to beat him is when we're on vacation and that's only because he's off his game.

2. While he may appear like Mr. Cool to others, he's super silly when we're alone. It's to the point we have our own weird language and hand signals. (you'd totally think we are 8 years old!)

3. The first thing he ever gave me (two weeks into getting to know each other) was a case of sugar free Red Bull because in passing I mentioned I loved that stuff. Talk about a man who LISTENS!

4. He does the laundry! Since we've been married I've done a total of 5 loads.

Ok, so I'll tag Kelly and An Excited Bride!

the wedding is over?

I know the last few weeks wedding related posts have been sparse. With only two things going left waiting for (wedding dvd and album), I really had my eyes looking elsewhere and just blogging more and more about me and what other random things in my life. Not to worry. With the arrival of the ultra-cool Zack over at Frequent Flyer Productions at my doorstep tonight with our wedding dvd (have to write about that in a whole other post), I just got a rush of lots of things to finish posting about from our wedding (reviews, cost analysis, wishful thinking...etc). In the meantime, here is a centerpiece I found that is very cool and so unique:

Plus and Minus...

I admit I haven't been the best little blogger I possibly can be so I decided to get everyone up to speed here it all is in a quick recap:

Plus: Had a great time in Miami.
Minus: Ate way too many Cuban sandwiches and key lime pies!
Plus: My tan is looking superb (i know.. "tanning is bad" but hey... we were in Miami!)
Minus: The hubby has a killer sun burn because he didn't follow this wifey's once every hour rule about lathering up on SPF 1000.
Plus: Went to the Everglades and saw lots of 'gators!
Minus: Went to Little Havana and was a bit underwhelmed and just took the bus back.
Plus: Loved South Beach on the one full day of sun we had.
Minus: It rained off and on the other days we were there.
Plus: Been doing Weight Watchers and lost 6 lbs.
Minus: I have yet to have one week where I can consciously say the weight loss because I'm doing weight watchers. Next week will be a good week to see where if it really works. Yes, I'm still a skeptic!
Plus: I ran my fastest mile (8.20 mile) in OVER 10 years. I know, you're thinking how can someone with so many shiny 1/2 marathon medals not run fast? Easy... you still get the medal regardless how fast or slow you run! ;)
Minus: I haven't been keeping up with my 15 mile a week rule.
Plus: All the working out has increased my mood and made me crave it more.
Minus: Still trying to get over any excuses I can make instead of working out!
Plus: Being away for a few days from the computer is soooo nice!
Minus: I have over 700 posts in my google reader. These are the times where I hate to say I'm going to have to be selective and read only the ones in my "FAVES" folder!
Plus: Getting home and seeing my little puppies!
Minus: I have to go back to work tomorrow! DOUBLE BLAH!

So... that's it in a nut shell. I'll post a few photos of the trip once I get around to uploading them.

new car scent...

We decided to help the economy out and bought a new car... and one of the first things the hubby said is that I left my old licence plate frame on Jack (my escape I traded in). I told him it was okay and it was time to get a new frame anyway. This is what I want to get:

If you got to personalize a new licence plate frame, what would yours say?

Electra's Black Bling

Third time should be the charm for Carmen Electra – as evidenced by the rockstar-sized ring she was sporting Thursday night.

"It's a black diamond, perfect for us," Electra tells PEOPLE. "Different – it's our style."

Celebrating in Austin with her fiancé, guitarist Rob Patterson, 37, while hosting the Dos Equis party to find a new assistant for the Most Interesting Man in the World, Electra was beaming.

Dear Google Reader...

I wanted to first thank you for making my life simpler. You hold all my favorites new entries from all the addicting sites in one little place. You save me surf time and make me feel efficient. But I have to let you know that your "top recommendations" section is very dangerous. When I started using you, you gave me an acceptable amount of blog entries to read a day. Now, if I don't keep on checking it, you leave me HUNDREDS to read. And it is all because of your recommendations.

Now, please stop recommending new sites to me! There is only soo much I can read!!!

Love,

Little miss Planner.

The worst places

In non related news, I saw the most interesting article about the worst places to put stuff. Here's some of the ones I was shocked about:

The 16 worst places to stash your stuff
The worst stall to pick in a public restroom: the one in the middle
The worst place for your toothbrush: on the bathroom sink
The worst place for your sneakers and flip-flops: in the bedroom closet
The worst place to sit on an airplane: the rear
The worst place for your coffee: the refrigerator or freezer

The last one really surprised me... guess I'll be pulling the coffee out of the frig and placing it somewhere else!

To read more about the worst places and why they are soo bad, go here!

Little Miss Planner's Habits...

I rarely...I mean RARELY breakout of my routine when it comes to food. Aside from Friday Lunches where I escape work, I eat the same few things or go to the same place: a salad at the local Organic cafe, or a tv meal ala Lean Cuisine (LC) or Healthy Choice (HC). Well, today, I'm eating cereal but the I decided to give a Healthy Choice meal a whirl and it dropped me mid swing! I took one bite out of it and within seconds I was walking to the trash can to dump it. I HATE throwing away food but this one wasn't salvegable. It just goes to show that out of LC or HC, LC always wins!

Now... I must go finish my kashi cereal drenched in soy milk. Boy, don't I sound like a person who lives on the edge! :)

Yet again...

I'm telling you, it should be illegal to get sick more than once a season... I'm going on my fourth cold and this one is just as bad as the first one I got this season! So, please forgive me for my lack of posts in the last few days. I'm harnessing all my energy to type this right now before I pass out once again!

Stay healthy people!

Husband 1, Wife 0

Saturday's activities including seeing Mickey Mouse, riding Dumbo with our niece, waiting in line, riding the Astro Blasters and "letting" the hubby beat me. As you can see, I now have evidence I must have slept through the ride hence my poor score! ;)

A price to pay for saying "I don't"

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexican brides and grooms who get cold feet before walking down the aisle will have to pay their significant other for the inconvenience, if a proposal by a local congressman is adopted.

In Mexico, weddings are big social events where large amounts of money are spent before the big day on gowns, tuxedos, catering and music bands and churches are even reserved years in advance.

Weddings of over 500, or even 1,000 guests, are frequently splashed across newspapers' social pages. According to Mexican tradition, the bride's family absorbs most of the expenses.

Jose Antonio Zepeda, a city deputy for President Felipe Calderon's conservative National Action Party, wants to introduce the idea of compensation for backing out of a wedding as part of changes to the capital's civil code.

"He or she who refuses to live up to a marriage commitment will pay for the expenses that the other party made in connection with the planned matrimony," Zepeda's proposal says.

Zepeda also wants lawmakers to give legal status to prenuptial agreements for those on their way to the altar in hopes it will make divorce settlements easier if the couple splits later on.

"We are looking to avoid emotional distress, cut divorce expenses and shorten the time that courts spend solving them," Zepeda told Reuters on Friday. The prenuptial agreement will be optional.

Divorce rates are on the rise in Mexico, which has a predominantly Catholic population of over 107 million. Currently, three out of 10 couples in Mexico City divorce, compared with just one in 10 in the 1970s, the congressman said.

Zepeda's proposal is expected to be voted by Mexico City's congress in March or April. If passed, it will only apply to heterosexual couples in the capital, which legalized gay unions in 2006.
