Thanks a bunch...

With the postage hike, I made it a point to make sure every thank you card was finally in the mail. Today, the hubby took the final two into work to give out (there is a reason why they weren't mailed). Yes, it took 6.5 months from the wedding to finally get around to them and the desire to use our personalized stamps up before we had to tack on a penny stamp with it. LAME! I am usually really good about sending thank you cards, but with the wedding, well, I lagged because I was done. I was done, cornering things, I was done using double stick tape. I was done centering. I was just sick of my own wedding. :)

I'm happy it's all over and the only two things left are getting our wedding movie (omg omg omg... can't wait!) and getting our album. But those two things I can honestly say I am in no rush for that either.

So tip of the day from this wife to all you brides out there, if you are getting presents before hand, just write the darn cards when you get the presents. Because it is SOOO not worth it waiting, that is unless you are using a photo of the wedding as the card, otherwise, just throw in a wallet to share and send them out after!

Almost last and final wedding project

According to the knot, We've been married for 89 days! WHOA!

My goal before that number his the triple digits is to finish up my thank you cards.

I totally understand when people say that after the wedding you become anti wedding stuff. This totally is me! So now, I have 10 days before these suckers will be in the mail! :S

I'll post how they turned out once completed! :)

More Thanks...

Before I made the thank you notes for the wedding, I wanted to make personalized ones for my bachelorette party and make sure they would work for the wedding. (I used stardream quartz notecards I bought from envelopemall, photos prints from Costco, and some ribbon I had! I attached the ribbon with double stick tape and then add more tape for the photo and that's pretty much it. Very easy to make!)

The photo isn't the best but it was the only one where we all had our glasses!

While I only had to make five for the girls that were there, I made one for the driver of the wine tasting tour we took! He made the trip all the more fun! I also made one for a keepsake for myself! I really looked forward to writing these out so I can personally thank each of the girls who took the time out of their lives to spend it with me. It really affirmed how much each of these ladies mean to me!

Thank you's...

So here I am, less than 48 hours after our engagement party and I finished 95% of our thank you cards. Would have had them all done but I ran out of cards. Now, I know what you're thinking, "she probably just wrote:
Thanks for coming and thanks for the gift! Sincerely, M+L

If I ever did that, my momma would kill me. I wrote about a paragraph to each of our guests and thanked them specifically for the present they gave and how excited we were to use it whether it were the new dishes or the grill or the albums. You get the jest. Well, I know some people would hate doing all this but to be honest, in the midst of it all, I realized how happy I was to be saying thank you to all our family and friends who came. I even wrote thank you cards to the people who just showed up! :)

How long did it take for you to finish up all your thank you cards? Am I the only freak who not only looks forward to the parties, but also the aftermath of writing little notes to everyone? :)
