Table Decorations

I'm a huge fan of details. I'm not talking about details of what ink was used on menus but details on the place settings. Just think, your guests sit for at least 20% if not more at their seat and while they are there, they are taking in everything, especially what is in front of them! You don't have to spend lots of moola to make your tables look amazing. Too much makes the table too crowded, too little looks weird... but just enough... well, that's the key! Here are some amazing little things you can do to to liven up your tablescape!

Google readers...

there was a post early today/late last night that linked to another site. Apparently domain users changed the site to something else that isn't NSFW. sorry everyone. please ignore "interesting tidbit" post! and Thanks kim for letting me know!

One Tradition I wish I remembered...

I'm not one for traditions for weddings... but I saw this and found it really cute and REALLY wanted to do it since every one of my BMs weren't married... (two are engaged now and one of them is getting married in under 48 hours now!)

Turkish Shoe Signing Tradition

Try a who-will-marry-next tradition that Turkish brides have been practicing for generations. Before you start down the aisle, have your single bridesmaids (or any female friends or relatives who've yet to marry) autograph the sole of your bridal shoe. After you've danced the night away (and tossed your bouquet), legend has it that the person whose name has faded the most will be the next to marry.

Now, how CUTE is that!!!

Inspirations Part 12

Now, I'm a HUGE fan of primary colors. They can do no wrong. When I see them in color palettes for weddings, I'm usually left stunned by the boldness. It was the main reason I only wanted just red roses for mine. If I had a summer wedding I would have gone all out with yellow. For my engagement party, we stayed with a yellow and white with a touch of black pallete.

So today, to help make me feel better and not soo yucky (darn cold) I present: YELLOW!!!!

And if you think there are only 3 types of yellow flowers (roses and daisies and sunflowers) like most people do, you'd be mistaken!!!

Delicate Pillows

While I was talking to my MOH who now is a bride, she mentioned something about ring bearers. Since I didn't have any children in my wedding I didn't have to worry about these details. But it doesn't mean I never thought about it all. If I could, I would have strapped a pillow to the back of my dog or make one of the Groomsmen carry it but I'm not that mean so I just gave the Best man the box and said "don't lose these!" But here's some eye candy:
