Chaos...

That's how everything feels this week. Yesterday was the last day of boot camp and I have to admit I was a bit sad. I can't wait till it starts up again next week. On top of that, work has been, well, psychotic and was thrown way too many curve balls. I think one even hit my arm while I was trying to dodge it. It isn't going to stop either, more responsibility, less chance of me shaking things up, and no raise. Not always good but I made a pack with myself to push myself and show them I deserve it!!! We'll see!

On the friends and family front, from Thursday through the weekend it will be C R A Z Y! First is my niece's 8th grade graduation (OMG...), next are both my Dad and Brother's bdays (brother is OLD OLD) and the icing on my cupcake, my best friend's shower is on Saturday and boy will be fun! I can't wait to show photos of everything we planned!

On the personal front, I'm feeling a lot better about myself, physically. On top of the boot camps, I'm running more again (did 17 miles last week). I've lost inches and today, some of the clothes that I thought would be a little tight are super baggy on me! I like where I'm going and I'm patient for my results!

A greek wedding...

One of my close friends got married a few months ago and I've been salivating at the photos from the VERY talented and super nice Mark Ayoub. I really could go on and on about all the details and how I LOVE Mark's work but I think the photos will speak volumes.

The Ceremony

The Reception

Funny little note, the couple's first names are the same and their last name starts with a D too, so when it came to deciding on a monogram, they only had to use one letter! :)

I think this is one of my favorite photos of the happy couple, they looks soo in love!!!

...and this below photo is of me and the Matron of Honor!

If you want to see more of Mark's work, please visit his site and his blog! He's located in Southern California so if you don't have a photog booked yet, definitely check him out!

Pain is Just fear leaving your body...

...so does that mean I'm fearless at the moment?

I just finished the sixth week of boot camp and I'm feeling phenomenal. I've noticed I don't get too sore throughout the week but the last few days, they really wanted to give us the works! I love our instructors and they keep us on our toes! I've noticed such a difference just in these few weeks and can't wait till the next session to start again! The hubby is loving it too. It really has been a bonding experience!

I haven't blogged lately about hour Biggest loser Challenge we've been doing since after the half marathon we did a month ago, we just sorta gave up and focused on other things. I paid more attention to the girl Biggest Loser challenge I have with a few friends and started WW. Overall, I feel a 1000x better than I was 2 months ago. I think by the time our vacation (YEA!!!! 20 days to go!!!) I will feel confident in a bathing suit and not worry about covering the tummy.

How's everyone else doing with their workouts and getting healthy?

Vendor Review -- Frequent Flyer Productions

So a few days ago I left you hanging and didn't talk about what the ultra-cool Zack dropped off at my house. The reason was because I thought he deserved his own little rave review about our wedding dvd.

Dealing with Frequent Flyer Productions have been no less than excellent to work with. He's fun, energetic, and can be a total fly on the wall. The day of the wedding he made the entire wedding party feel at ease and not even our family noticed he was there and still captured the entire event Once it was time to get down to working on our material, we started talking about music, we gave him ideas of our musical taste but really, with him, you don't need to since he seems to pick the perfect songs for it all!

The final result was nothing short of spectacular! The dvd was like any real movie dvd. The main footage was edited into the story of the day, and the "extras" had separate sections for the ceremony, cake cutting, dancing, speeches, and other fun stuff. Once we popped it in and pressed play, both the hubby and I sat there in awe of how beautiful everything was captured. He used different techniques that really enhanced each moment! It was in simplest terms: PERFECTION!!

Would I recommend him? In a heart beat!

Four things about the Hubby...

Ok, I was tagged by Linda to do this meme about mr. planner, aka the hubby (I love that, mr. planner!)

1. He is the best rock/paper/scissors player I EVER met. The only time I seem to beat him is when we're on vacation and that's only because he's off his game.

2. While he may appear like Mr. Cool to others, he's super silly when we're alone. It's to the point we have our own weird language and hand signals. (you'd totally think we are 8 years old!)

3. The first thing he ever gave me (two weeks into getting to know each other) was a case of sugar free Red Bull because in passing I mentioned I loved that stuff. Talk about a man who LISTENS!

4. He does the laundry! Since we've been married I've done a total of 5 loads.

Ok, so I'll tag Kelly and An Excited Bride!

the wedding is over?

I know the last few weeks wedding related posts have been sparse. With only two things going left waiting for (wedding dvd and album), I really had my eyes looking elsewhere and just blogging more and more about me and what other random things in my life. Not to worry. With the arrival of the ultra-cool Zack over at Frequent Flyer Productions at my doorstep tonight with our wedding dvd (have to write about that in a whole other post), I just got a rush of lots of things to finish posting about from our wedding (reviews, cost analysis, wishful thinking...etc). In the meantime, here is a centerpiece I found that is very cool and so unique:

another one?

After yesterday's 10k Love Run I started talking one of my friends and he mentioned another 1/2 coming up. It's the 31st America's Finest City Half Marathon on August 17, 2008. At first when I saw this I was totally in, then I started to read about it and realized I have to finish it in 3 hours.

WHOA...

But I still sent out the email to my girlfriends and my faithful partner in crime wrote back with a Y E S! So now today I have started another 12 week plan to train for another half. I know, this is the like the umpteenth time I've started training but really, I promise, I'm really going to try to train for this.

Above is the elevation map so I should be okay going into this. The last half we did, we finished 2:53 and it was hilly. So far I'm on the right path, but still...if it they warn you by saying "Finisher medals will be presented only to half marathoners finishing under the 3-hour time limit." EEK! Now if scaring you that you won't get a medal if you finish over 3 hours, doesn't make you push yourself, I don't know what will.

So... Goal for the week: 17 miles. I did a mile today in boot camp so 16 miles left for the week! WOOT!
